I had the pleasure of meeting Laura & Tommy for their engagement photoshoot.

I had pestered my photography teacher Pat Shortall to let me shadow him as he photographed a wedding.
My nagging paid off and he agreed to let me tag along to meet the soon to be newlyweds in a random field in Kilkenny one August eveing in 2019.
We laughed so much that day as Tommy showed off some serious dance moves. Laura was a breeze in front of the camera. They made a perfect couple and we captured some beautiful moments.
Our next meeting would be their wedding day. I tagged along, again, under Pat's supervision to document the most important day of their lives "The Wedding Day".
We met with the blushing bride and her family first as they got ready for the big day. Three generations preparing for the special occasion under one roof meant we got beautiful candid photos with Laura and family as well as some beautiful images of her stunning dress amongst the apple trees.

We packed up our cameras and headed to Kileshin Church to meet the excited groom.
After a few fun poses with his brother and best man it was time for the Bride to make her entrance. The whole day went smoothly and after the "I do's" were said and the nuptials sealed with a kiss, we headed to the Romanesque Archway to take some beautiful photos of the Brand New Mr & Mrs Barron.

The reception followed in The Dolman Hotel in Carlow. The newlyweds were led into the party to the gorgeous melody of bagpipes played by the brides sister and bridesmaid Amanda. The tone was set, the party was started and went on long into the night.
Fast forward to September 2020. Tommy & Laura have been married a year. We arranged a photoshoot to mark their first anniversary. This time I was The Lone Photographer. I was nervous without my trusty mentor Pat. But, Laura and Tommy made my job easy. They just went with the flow. They posed. They climbed. They kissed. They kissed alot.
And the results are AMAZING!!!
I am forever indebted to this wonderful couple. I wish them a long and happy life together.
We plan to meet again on their 5th Wedding Anniversary. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next chapter of their story.
Thank you to Laura and Tommy for allowing me to be a part of your journey.
And to Pat for the lessons, opportunities, mentorship and friendship.
